  1. I know that some GSXR's do this and the regulator / stator are the common problem. Most start fine and only when the bike is hot they cut out. Once cooled back down they start fine again.
  2. round and black on ebay are pretty good as well. Busters and M+P were doing some deals as well a couple of weeks ago.
  3. It seems to either happen in my garden or at work in the carpark! Thing is I went out to it last Friday morning and the alarm was ok, been away for the weekend and popped out to it today and it is playing up again! There is no real pattern to where / when it happens.
  4. The alarm / immobiliser is really starting to get on my tits on the gixxer 750 It's a poxy Datatool Veto Evo, thats been on it since day 1 back in 1999. (Original owner had it fitted) Problem with it, is that sometimes it will not de-activate using the fob. I have tried the re-syncing of the fobs as described in the manual and it doesn't help at all. I have to remove the fuse to reset it. It could be sat for a few hrs or a few days and the problem will appear. Rang Datatool who just seem interested in getting me to purchase an upgrade for it at £140. Battery is always connected to an optimiser, whilst the bike is at home. It's done it now a few times after a 12hr night shift and is pissing me off. Apart from getting a leccy to rip the sodding thing out, is there any other way around this? Cheers
  5. I ended up getting a Shoei XR1000 for £159, as it was the last one in hooge head size Funniest thing was, it was the first stand I went to. Wife then trawled around other stands trying to see if it was cheaper. (I must remember to do the same when she goes clothes shopping - not!!!) It fits much better than the AGV I've been wearing for the last few months. Tried on one of the Schuberth flip front helmets and nearly passed out when I tried to take it off. Severe pressure on the temples. f**k that for a game of soldiers! Some of the stuff on the J+S stand looked poor, but if you wanted a set of cheap track days leathers, £80 was a snip for a 2 piece. Apart from the roadworks on the A42 southbound, I really enjoyed the day and so did the wife. Means I have to take her again.
  6. According to a post I have just read on MCN, the cheeky twats are going to up the cost of the old test to £80 from 29th September so they don't have to issue refunds to the centres who have block booked the "new test" What a bunch of incompetent tossers we have in charge of this country.
  7. Will do, cheers. You can see the test area from the access road
  8. I saw the new layout today whilst waiting for someone who was on their test. I have to admit, the U-turn area looks bigger, this may be because there are no kerbs Rest of the coned out area looks ok and not too challenging. Test centre was Colwick in nottingham if you are in the area and want a look. Lad passed with 1 minor as well (not my lad, just someone I was with)
