the water pipes are getting warm, the same as the rad but not excessively no. As the light comes on when I start the bike so is linked to the ignition system/start up sequence I wondered whether it could actually be something to do with that rather than over heating

The engine itself is not majorly hot, the radiator isn't getting hot as the bikes only running less than 2 minutes before the warning light comes on, only strange thing I've found and I don't know if its related but one exhaust is getting warm the other is getting burning hot like I said don't know if its related

Hi Tango, Just been out and started her up, only running for less than 2 minutes and the warning lights back on, and no the fans does not kick in, although I'd of thought it would off been too cold with that small amount of running for the fan to kick in. If it is a case of the just the fan not kicking in is it ok to use, my ride to work is only about 10 minutes, although around 75% of the time this has happened I have lost a load of power so the bike is running really sluggish when the warning light comes on

I have an AJS 350 DD EOS E-6, its a 2011 model although I've only had her around 6 months. About 2 weeks ago she started draining the battery every time I rode, I would only be able to do around 7 miles before the battery died. I bought a new battery which did not solve the problem, so I changed the regulator. This has stopped the battery dying but now the engine temperature light comes on after the bike has been running for a few minutes and does not go off. If I turn the engine off for 10 minutes and then restart her the light comes on as usual when I turn the key, then goes off once the engine has started up, but again 2-3 minutes later the warning light is on. I have full oil and water, never had any issues at all until the regulator problem, but as far as I know that is fixed and should not be causing this issue. All help and advice gratefully received
