  1. congrats, welcome the permanent grin club
  2. I though they couldn't say anything if it was a temporary building (i.e. wooden) ?
  3. I agree with your dad, experience does count for a lot. But whether it's safe to do that or not depends entirely on your mentality, and how confident (more importantly, over confident) you are. Remember, speed and perceived danger is directly linked to your wrist
  4. Sidi Vertigo boots Price: around £170 These were more expensive ones than I usually buy, as I seem to ware down cheaper boots quite quickly (soles coming apart etc) Pros Very comfy boots The calf adjustment system is excellent Replaceable plates (toe sliders etc) Aesthetically pleasing (imho) Cons Incessant squeak unless treated with a squirt of WD40 / silicon etc (this is a well known quirk) Little in the way of ankle protection Zip handle broke in around 8 months, this may be due to me being too rough with it. I'd definitely have another pair, they seem to have lasted more than twice as long as ever other pair of boots I've bought in the past. They survived a SMIDSY with some cosmetic damage, but I'd rather the plastic is grazed than my skin!
  5. I got some of these when I got my first set of tyres (others were squared off when I bought it), avon-tyres.co.uk/motorcycle/storm-2-ultra It was purely by chance, because they were all they had that would fit my wheels at the time! (150s) Ive done 8k miles on them over a year and a half, and they've still got loads of tread left, hardly look worn tbh.
  6. Just out of curiosity, what are you supposed to do with old batteries?
  7. Definitely sounds more and more like reg/rec to me, and possibly a boiled battery is inevitable. Got a multi-meter handy?
  8. Only problem is, I'm at work til 5 o'clock so can't do anything before then
  9. I live near meadowhall in sheffield, and I have a charger. What do you have in mind though? there's no way to charge your bike unless it's at a plug socket, and it'll take at least an hour to get anything into it
  10. Sounds like you had a blast I'd like to go at some point.
  11. glad you managed to fix it
  12. Sex releases endorphines which have a calming effect - so maybe popping into the toilet at the test centre could produce beneficial results. LOL
  13. Why do you need drawings of a house that's being pulled down?
  14. I always thought the weld it's self was meant to be stronger than the materials it's joining?
  15. I don't ride when there the chance of ice, and if there's a decent amount of snow. Other than that, all year round I don't like wind though -_-
