Tried that and nothing happened from it any other solutions?

I have a Honda cbf 125 2010 I have had my clocks working when I first got the bike but then they stopped working I put on a second hand set of clocks and the fuel gauge doesn’t seem to work properly it bounces to and from empty and full but mostly stays on empty any ideas on what it could be?
