    RUST

I know how you feel WR125x, my husky SM is killing me the rain and constant salt on the road has eventually taking its time to rust my front exhaust pipe (underneath the bike) plus the stand and wheels spokes have slight rust on them. But as soon as summer comes and the hours of scrubbing the bike will eventually be back to normal.
  5. Nat i hope you wont be driving on the motorway, because my god will you have a sore neck! These MX style helmets are not designed for high speeds or the motorway they aren't aerodynamic at all. Its unbelievable even on a Supermoto i get fed up to the teeth of wearing a peeked helmet as i get blown around all over the place, so my advice is stay well away especially if your looking at getting a sportsbike next. Ben
  6. im looking at a cyclone or Hawk alarm they both look exactly the same so not sure why you are commenting on the fact one can be disabled easier than the other. The only difference i have seen is the fact Cyclone have loads of alarms to choose from and im not sure if they will fit my husqvarna supermoto without causing any problems to it. I take it you have to have the remote start fitted as one i don't want it, two my bike is a kick start motocross bike..
  7. Hi Guys + Ladies As most of you know i have a 2007 Husqvarna 125 sms, ive recentley had some problems over the recent freezing weathers across the nation and resulting in this my powervalve electronic motor isnt making a noise anymore! I have no idea if anyone knows anything about this but its worth a ask before it goes in for its service on the 27th and hopefully costing me alot less than it normally would. Anyway majority of husky's SM, superbikes have digital dials in some way and have an automatic fueling system + oil + powervalve opens and closes like mine has but for some reason on flicking the key; i get the usual start up screen (displaying all items then going off) then i usually get a noise as if the fuel is running down the bike and this is where the problem began. However on one evening i had to work untill 11pm and took the action to cover the bike up.... but since the time i was about to leave i flicked the key and heard no noise!!!!! Any ideas on what is causing this? Husqvarna told me its the electronic motor under my seat with two cables running into powervalve on the right hand side behind exhaust, but its 191 pounds to replace it and im sure on a 2007 bike this cant be going wrong. Some help or advice would be ideal i need to strip the bike tomorrow if the weather is nice and an answer would be appreciated. =-) Ben
  8. hi guys Sorry not been around in a long time! I'm after some help I'm looking to (if its possible) fit the new EURO x light style to my Sym Jet 50, however i know they are the same bike, engine, rear and everything but the front and instrument case are different. However i wanted to know if anyone knows if its possible to change the front of my bike (plastics, lights) to the new style the Euro x has? Sorry to ask such a silly question, but its hard to find anyone thats actually done it. Thanks Ben
  9. Wow ok wasnt looking for a responce like that but thanks ill take it into a bike shop and get them to set it properly as it seems to be flooding my bike on start up :S as when i go back to the screw its out further than i set it to so possibly its broken but ill ask a mechanic.
  10. Hello guys Not posted in a while just would like to know roughly where is the mixture screw meant to be. Ive been told 3 turns (which burnt all my fuel) then been told 1.5 which seems to be a bit better but where does it actually have to be? Thanks Ben P.s. Anyone know if there is scooter events in hampshire?
  11. Yes this is what we are starting to realise, as none of the standard exhaust have it now so we were thinking mine was there for a reason.
  12. Great i actually get somewhere now, so in order to remove this restriction i will either need to cut of end of exhaust or buy a race exhaust basically ? And i know with the restrictions etc but i dont think i can stand 30mph its like a snail and the humiliation of mates going faster will get to me One part down just need somone to tell me why my bike is running so s*it with no power :s Btw what does a breather pipe do ? Thanks
  13. Ok cool first off we couldnt find any washer on the exhaust from what we could see and secondly the whole has been welded closed so the option of putting it back on it a bit dim now, thirdly do you know if they restricted the bike anywhere else as its still only doing 30mph lol not exactly speed machine , like us 16 year old boys want
  14. Hi Guys I'm looking for some wiz infomation basically ive had this Sym jet 50cc Basix sat in my garden for a while waiting for me to turn 16, so the other day i tried to get it started again took a while and finally after bang's it started. That night i took it out and did 30mph on it with the restrictions on from what i know (exhaust breather pipe) so after this i would like to get it to 40mph + so my father cut of the breather pipe tonight and welded the hole close we then put the bike onto its side and re fitted the exhaust ( i was still holding it though) after this i hit the kickstart and it took a while to start then it started but sounded as if it was dying, so i took it out for a drive quickly and realised as soon as u give it some throttle it pops and feels like the power has gone (but hang on a minute i de restricted it, so i'm a bit confused :S) so basically i brought it back to the house and my dad went on it and from hearing it go up the road it sounds like something is blocking the exhaust or somewhere is loosing power badly as its got nothing now!!! Sorry its such a long paragraph but some help would be great. Regards Ben
