  1. I thought i'd failed (turns out the gap was fine for me to pull through, he didn't want to follow as his bike was as wide as it was long) anyway, I passed with 1 minor It's not over until you're back at the centre
  2. In regards to the cutting out when started, my CBR125r used to do the same thing. I live at the top of a pretty steep hill and would occasionally get to the bottom junction, indicating out only to find out the engine has cut out on the slow down. The way i'd get around this (and not a 100% solution) was to leaving the bike running an extra minute before jumping on and maybe playing with the choke
  3. managed under 3 hours of sleep before my mod 2 due to various reasons, would not reccomend!
  4. yeah first time DAS And I may well need to
  5. Yay Passed my Mod 1 on thursday - 1 minor for not braking hard enough on the emergency stop 9went through the trap at 72..) Passed my Mod 2 today - 1 minor for letting a car out I'll do a proper write up soon. yayayayay
  6. Bike; CBT - 1 Theory - 1 Mod 1 - 1 Mod 2 - 0 thus far Car; Theory - 1 Practical - 1
  7. If anything i'd say having full leathers will make you feel much safer the first time on a bike, I only wore jeans and felt exposed. Who cares what others think yanno?
  8. Thanks for the replies, not sure why I was so worried...
  9. I need to stop posting when i'm half asleep The reason I was asking was as I have a physio the monday at 5pm (the same day my direct access starts) so I was wondering whether I should rearrange it or not
  10. I was wondering how long the days were? Say if a lesson started at 9, how many hours would it be for? Have mine booked for the 5th of July ahh
  11. ended up paying me £600 in cash
  12. received a phone call from someone watching it on fleabay earlier today, he's coming up from cornwall to have a look at it and offered £450 (all being well, I am expecting to have to haggle). He wants to buy it outside of ebay, he has a 100% record on ebay. Thing that slightly concerns me is that he wants to take it with him tonight as long as everything is ok with the bike, unless he pays in cash (other option is cheque) i'm not sure I can trust him? I'm sure he's a nice enough bloke but I am a little worried..
  13. My bike knowledge is pretty limited, if it was a car, sure, but stripping down a bike (for me at least) would end tragically
  14. so I can try sticking it on fleabay?
  15. Completely missed these replies, sorry . How do I go about finding out which cat it would be under? In the evaluation letter I received it states it has a salvage value of £494.40. It also says "Salvage Category D" (not sure whether this is an answer to my above question or not )
  16. Well, it was written off months ago....anywho. I jumped on it to see what was what and it still works (didn't go out onto the roads). I've been told to scrap it but I thought i'd ask here to see if it was worth sticking on ebay, the noted damage was : Honda CBR125rr Pillion holder -scratched Rear grab rail - Scratched Gear pedal - does need replacing rear lamp holder - um... number plate (think that was noted down as it was not there in the evaluation, it was at my house) not needed Left hand crank cover - scratched nose cane - loose left hand middle and lower fairing - cracked, not highly noticable decal kit - ? D: nose cone stay left hand front indicator lamp - perfectly alright.. both levers - both missing the knobly bits at the end left hand mirror - just needs a bolt to keep it in place (i think) left hand footrest hanger - seems fine.. If pictures would help i'll stick some up...I was just wondering how much I could shove it on fleabay for? edit: full tank of petrol!
  17. I seeeee, thanks
  18. Hey I know I haven't posted in a long long while but I do however read daily religiously I'll be turning 21 in April and my question was regarding my big bike test...am I able to take mod 1+2 on a 125 or does it need to be 500cc+ ? Sorry if the answer is obvious

    Doh :(

Bought a charger, turned out to be much easier to charge than first thought Local bike shop (place I bought the bike from originally) knocked £10 off the price so i'm a happy bun

    Chain!

Sooo, I pulled into a petrol station and filled up. Pulled out in first and as soon as i changed up to second the chain came off. My question is, why did it happen? I've left my bike at the petrol station (locked up in the back, the guy at the counter was really nice) and i'll hopefully get it put back on tomorrow
  24. So i've done roughly 1.2k miles since getting my bike in late october and I love it, never had so much fun. I wont be eligible to take my module tests etc until April 3rd. My question is how will I find the testing element? (provided i continue to ride as much as I do now). I'm getting into the whole leaning now and have the confidence to filter in and out of traffic. I'm really looking forward to being able to get on to the motorway and just drop everything and go somewhere far away...it's not quite the same in the car.
