  1. You can always go to a shop, try things on, go home to 'think about it' (lot of money to spend after all), then check them out online! You should by then at least know what size you are needing, and the actual shop may surprise you and be cheaper!
  2. You could always try *shock horror* womens sizes. A lot of stuff seems to be unisex despite being marketed as women's. An example would be a Weise Retro jacket. Both me and the OH have one, his was a 42, mine a 16. Can't see what the difference is in them. Mine fits me like a bag of spuds. Does the way a jacket zips up make a difference these days?
  3. George Whites have a sale starting this weekend, if there's one near you. http://www.georgewhite.co.uk/offers/item/307/
  4. Use a wooden spoon to wiggle it back into place. Obviously not the bowl end but the handle.
  5. I have a couple of pairs frank thomas antifreeze legging things. I wear them under my Draggin' camos and they work very well, huge difference.
  6. I did my CBT with my OH and neither completed on the first day so we had to go back. We paid almost the same price again!! for the 2nd day. It is a lot to take in and for your brain to process. I am reckoning that you will crack it on the 2nd day, as you and your brain will have a bit of time to absorb what you've learned today.
  7. Your CBT IS your training to pass the CBT I had no bike experience and did it over 2 days, we all learn at our own pace eh. I just needed extra time to absorb everything (being older was my excuse) I actually passed my A2 with no lessons, but this was before mod 1+2 came into being.
  8. On my CBT I pulled on my front brake in the middle of a u-turn (still in the practice yard). The bike bombed to the floor and I ended up stood next to it, didn't drop me just the bike lol Don't use your front brake to slow while u-turning folks
  9. Before mod 1+2 came in .... for cancellations you just had to check the dsa website, and if a cancellation came up while you were there you could book it. hubby got his retest 10 days after the original test through a cancellation. http://www.direct.gov.uk/prod_consum_dg ... 86303.html
  10. Go for it again. You'll get there. The price of a test is the price of a lesson these days isn't it?
  11. I didn't pass my test 'til I was 38! Get yer test done ! Don't be too smug passing yer CBT and don't huff and giggle if there are newbs there, be wise and learned
  12. Easier said than done but........ try and relax and pretend you are enjoying yourself Deep calming breaths beforehand, you know you are capable of passing. Get your procedures in your head, don't forget your lifesavers. Good luck do it for the ferrets
  13. A restricted bike is more than capable of long journeys. If you've only ridden 125's before you wont even notice the restriction is there in a larger cc bike.
