  1. Hi all Just purchased a Honda Deauville for commuting and a bit of fun but have an issue that I am struggling to resolve. She starts first press every time and ticks over ok, a little lumpy but nothing worse than any other twin I have owned. My problem is that between two and three thousand revs she spits and stutters, after three thousand she runs sweet and accelerates through the gears well for a old bike. I also have a bit of popping on the overrun/deceleration. She has had air filter, fuel pump and filter, new plugs, oil and filter change, and I have balanced the carbs. Still does it! New front exhaust gasket also fitted as the old one was shot. Carbs have been off and stripped/checked and cleaned but were not bad at all. I'm starting to pull my hair out now, well I would if I had any! Anybody got any ideas? Only thing I haven't done yet is valve clearances. Cheers Neil
