  1. Thanks for the help, I'll try the detent spring first and move on from there. Pretty shore it has nothing to do with the quick shifter, with the bike switch off the problem is still there. Thanks again. Dave
  2. I've had a good look at all the simple stuff and all is as it should be, changing the selector fork sounds like the way it's going, any idea how easy/hard a job it is?
  3. Hi, been out for a ride in the spring sun today on my 2005 Yamaha R1, about a 50 mile round trip, 5 miles from home going up through the gears (quick shifter fitted) went to shift from 4th to 5th and it was like the I was hitting neutral tried shifting with the clutch same thing. But then I couldn't shift down. With a bit of persuasion I manage to change down to first and that's where it stayed, it will change from neutral to first and back to neutral, shifter is stuck solid. Any one have a clue what may of happened to my gearbox? Cheers Dave
  4. I love watching the IoM TT, scares the crap out of me! look forward to seeing some of you footage.
  5. Whent to Malory park yesterday with some friends that had places on a track day. All the places had gone by the time I called up. Put the bike in the van anyway ( you never know ya luck) and got on two sessions befor lunch! So I have a few photos for you all http://i746.photobucket.com/albums/xx105/pistachio_bucket/Yamaha%20R1/8K9U8264.jpg http://i746.photobucket.com/albums/xx105/pistachio_bucket/Yamaha%20R1/8K9U8633.jpg http://i746.photobucket.com/albums/xx105/pistachio_bucket/Yamaha%20R1/8K9U8515.jpg http://i746.photobucket.com/albums/xx105/pistachio_bucket/Yamaha%20R1/8K9U6785.jpg http://i746.photobucket.com/albums/xx105/pistachio_bucket/Yamaha%20R1/8K9U7002.jpg Could only get into group one as group two and three were full, so I did lots of overtaking. What a day easily one of my favourite tracks, small enough to remember but challenging enough to keep you interested.
