If your not a complete noob I don't see why a few lessons wouldn't be in order, skip the owning a125 altogether. 

I am seriously gravitating towards that even a used BWMG310 is better than any of these 125CC bikes.

At the same you need to think through how you're going to park the machine of your dreams, to reduce the chance of theft. A locked garage is best. Failing that, a shed in the back garden, or at least chained to a ground anchor in the back garden. Least preferred is chained to ground anchor in the front garden.

Had my bicycle stolen twice, so I know London is a Sithole when it comes to security and insurance, but the read beacons... been a decade since I did my 2K - High Himalayan motorbike ride and i feel like i will die soon if I don't get back on two wheels.

I am based in East London, unluckily I live in an old apartment complex, so it looks like it is street parking for me. Hence my apprehension about this endeavor maybe 5-6 Different chains and locking it to something solid like a Steel street light pole...

Cant remember the last time I was on a Motorcycle Forum, probably a decade ago on 60Kph. 

Ah, Introductions, a Middle Aged man who had left his motorcycling days behind because of becoming a family man who now wants to get back to the freedom of 2 wheels.

Discovering that his Overseas license is useless and is confused with the next steps here...

Did my CBT, on my way to get a A through DAS, but trainer says I need some experience on UK roads before I go for DAS, maybe he is right.

• A new 125CC is quite overpriced in the UK.
• Used 125CC is on the higher side with reliability and quality being a concern.

Kind of confused as now I am re-thinking this whole process.. And considering the amount of bike thefts in here (London) i have to ask myself if all this is worth it..?

• Any guidance or suggestions of renting a 125CC for CBT to ride around.?
• How to navigate the Insurance Scam of overcharging for CBT riders.
• And where to find the best deals on used 125CC's?

So is anyone else on a similar journey..?
