  1. Hi there again, so recently I was thrown from my bike when a car driver pulled out with little to no time to react ... luckily the brakes did what they was supposed to do and stop the bike but not before the bike also hit the floor and me with it In this instance some damage was done to the bike including and not limited to the throttle cable snapping Now I've tried to find a spare out there in the wife world but spares are far and few for this bike I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this bike and would know if there was an equivalent throttle cable that may be a good replacement that I could use from another bike And while here a fuel tank as well an equivalent that would work instead of a lowride fuel tank Thanks in advance
  2. Hey everyone, hoping to change the oil and the filter fairly soon and was wondering as not really done It myself before if anyone has any suggestion on what may be the best oil to put in? I've looked at a few but not being mechanical minded I'm unsure what all the different terms mean, all I know is my engine is a 4 stroke engine Thanks in advance for any help
  3. I can't say for sure at this time how old the battery is but I do have it in my paper work and I'm sure it was pretty recent, but that could be 6 months or so, so before winter for sure so will double check that first. If its pretty new and barely been used what would be my next port of call to look at? Just trying to learn for the future and all the fault finding I can learn now is helpful
  4. Hi there, just looking for a bit of advice not being very mechanically minded or electronically minded I can't seem to find the fault and I can jump to fifty conclusions and it'll be the fifty first solution that I didn't think of When starting my lexmoto up I have to have all my lights off and everything turned to 0 essentially, as this is the only way I can keep my battery above 12v If I turn on all my lights to start the bike I'll get 3 or 4 good starts off the battery before the battery dies. But it doesn't 100% die it dies enough that it won't start with the lights on. But it will start with the lights off as the battery will be above 12v I've tried charging the battery with a smart charger and it's been fine. So I guess in a long winded way of asking is there a way to find out if its the battery itself that's the problem, the wiring is faulty somewhere and may have some cross leads, or is it my lights themselves and for some reason they are drawing way too much electricity. Willing to supply any pictures or more information if needed Thank you in advance for the advice
  5. Hello there, New to this forum and pretty new to riding, I've spent a good 5 years on and off bikes (always forget to save for the modules ) but perks of my old job being all sorts of hours Currently own a lexmoto lowride 125 And loving the ride at the moment, needs a bit of work but that's why I brought it, it was a bike I could get my hands on and give a good go at learning about bikes My previous bike was a Honda CB125F and I may or may not have blew the engine up due to not really knowing much about bikes I'll admit it was my fault for not doing proper checks which is why I have gone with my current bike it needs work and I need it to work as its my sole mode of transport to and from work Looking to get some advice on parts and where to get them from so yea, hope to get to know a lot of you and get loads of great advice I'm currently in southend and love being able to see a varied amount of bikes around me where I live so here's hoping I can get this one sparkling
