pinki-88 Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 hey guys i have just brought a pair of paddock stands and im wondering how is the best way to get the bike on to them as i am a bit weak lol . any good tips? front or back first? that sort of thing.cheers Quote
Guest Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 always the back first...put the bike on the side stand, then position the paddock stand under the rear swingarm/or bobbins.. using the left hand and grab rail straighten the bike up nad then push the paddock stand down.. i would get someone to assist for the first few times, even if its just to watch and help if needed, then move the the front and position under the fork legs, and push down.. you should only need it on both if you are working on the front wheel... removal of the forks isn't posible with conventional stands, you'd need one that locates under the steering neck Quote
pinki-88 Posted October 19, 2009 Author Posted October 19, 2009 thanks for that it was a great help Quote
Guest Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 your welcome, i had issues when i first tried to put my bike on a paddock stand.. suzuki didn't help by putting the rear caliper in the way... Quote
Guest Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 Always put the bike on the rear stand first. If you try to put it on a front paddock stand without a rear stand, it will be very expensive and you will cry alot. Quote
Decor58 Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 Them videos only show it going on the stands, a strong word of advice for when you take them off. Make sure the sidestand is down!! Quote
Guest philgale Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 this might be a better vid then"> or get one of these bad boys "> Quote
