Anthony Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 I got a K2 Badit 1200 for xmas and im doing a service on it, however the tool supplied to remove the plugs is too small ( i think), does anybody know what size the hex is on the plug, so i can remove it:)any help would be good Cheers Quote
Guest Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 I think it's 17mm,take the tank off and use a socket set or a ring spanner, try and avoid using an open ended spanner because if there in tight you will round them off if the spanner slips Quote
Anthony Posted December 26, 2009 Author Posted December 26, 2009 cant use a spanner, the plugs are buried in the engine Quote
Guest Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 Sorry I dont know the bandit engine I was assuming it was like mine.Could you not use a socket Quote

Pete Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 My old GSX600F (bandit engine) used to let me use a standard spark plug remover tool on it. I.e. one of these:http://www.toolstation.com/images/library/stock/webbig/70916.jpg Quote
Guest Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 Spark plugs come in 2 sizes and have there own socket as its deeper and has a rubber bung to hold the plug on removal, so if you have a decent automotive socket set it will be the large one, 21 mm, size 1 - 13/16 (21mm) , size 2 - 5/8 Quote
Anthony Posted December 27, 2009 Author Posted December 27, 2009 sorted thanks, just didnt look through my garage hard enough to find one that fits Quote
Colin the Bear Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 Not wanting to state the obvious, but it will be the same as the new one, won't it? Quote
