Spark Plugs

I got a K2 Badit 1200 for xmas and im doing a service on it, however the tool supplied to remove the plugs is too small ( i think), does anybody know what size the hex is on the plug, so i can remove it:)

any help would be good

I think it's 17mm,take the tank off and use a socket set or a ring spanner,try and avoid using an open ended spanner because if there in tight you will round them off if the spanner slips

cant use a spanner, the plugs are buried in the engine

Sorry I dont know the bandit engine I was assuming it was like mine.Could you not use a socket

i could if i knew the size, im guessing and as i mentioned the bandit tool dont fit so its stabbing in the dark until an old hand at it signs on lol

My old GSX600F (bandit engine) used to let me use a standard spark plug remover tool on it. I.e. one of these:

Spark plugs come in 2 sizes and have there own socket as its deeper and has a rubber bung to hold the plug on removal, so if you have a decent automotive socket set it will be the large one, 21 mm,

size 1 - 13/16 (21mm) , size 2 - 5/8
