Anyone have experiences with this stuff?

I bought some yesterday, spent a couple of hours cleaning the bike. Then applied this stuff. Sprayed where I couldn't brush, and brushed where I didn't want it going everywhere....

Hopefully it might do some good. Should seen some of the pock marks caused by the road salt already!!

Anyway, if anyone else has experiences with this I'd appreciate your comments, a site search hasn't delivered much on this .....

Before anyone asks what this is, it is an anti corrosion fluid. Designed to stop corrosion in its tracks and prevent further corrosion. And allegedly lasts 24months. Developed for the USAF for the planes on aircraft carriers.

A few on the XJR owners swear by it,I suppose if your not riding in the winter you wont need it

Used it the last couple of years but bought 4l for this year, works out much more cost effective. Appy it using a compressor and it goes a long long way.

Also used FS365 last year but you have to continually re-apply as it soon rinses off. ACF50 is much better so I tend to clean the bike before the salt is spread, apply ACF50 all over then don't bother cleaning the bike again until spring. If you do clean it, some of the ACF will remain so you could just re-apply to the most vulnerable areas. :D

I use the Scottoiler product but when I wash the bike each weekend I need to re-apply. I like to wash the bike weekly 'cos then I can identify any issues by having a good look round... although the thought of using something a bit more durable such as ACF50, whcih means I dont have towash the bike all winter is appealing ;)

I bought the scottoiler stuff... Saw you have to reapply ... Bought the ACF50. For exactly that reason Rick. I do keep an eye on the bike anyway, but being able to leave it (cleaning wise) is appealing .

i use it all year round as it makes the bike easier to keep clean

before the winter salt gets put on the roads i spend a full day giving the bike a thorough wash /dry/polish then coat every metal surface (not discs of course) with acf50, when i do go out for a winter ride it's just a case of washing in clean water as the protection is still left in place.this is the bikes 3rd winter since i bought it and there is still no rust /corrosion anywhere so it must work....
