Engine paint touch up

The paint on my engine is lifting off in certain parts, and the Suzuki touch up keeps lifting, have degreased it before application, but not primed it in case the etching damaged the paint work further, need a quick fix,.

Want the original graphite colour W/F, just want it to stay stuck on the engine.

i've painted mine, let it cure for a couple of days then ran the engine to bake it, hasn't started lifting...... (yet....??), but i painted it with High Temp paint, (which was matt and streaked........ :shock: )so then went over it with some Hammerite smooth,

AHHH i see, you used the high temp paint as a primer, I've used that before and from experience i know it adheres well to aluminium,

I think it was more luck, than judgement there Marsey....

If your looking for Graphite colour have a look at the halfords engine paint it says Matt black on the tin but drys like a dull grey

My mate used it on his XJR

If the ally on the engine has started to corrode you will need to get it back to good metal to get the paint to stick.
