hi guys got a 2001 honda 125 vara my rear break is sticking and it makes a rubbing sound. Rear wheel is quite stiff to turn by hand when on center stand any help would be great. :cheers:

Hey Sam,


sounds like the brake caliper is seized/sticking.


In a nutshell:


remove caliper

remove brake pads

clean caliper and piston

pump piston out a little bit, clean some more, ensure free movement.

push piston back in

pump out

push in


you get the idea :D


New copper grease on the pads, reassemble, should be good to go :thumb:


NOTE This is a bit of a generic guide, I am assuming you have half a clue, if ya don't please at least purchase a haynes or similar. Or ask someone handy with spanners to help you!!

Mine sticks but thats cos i dont use it!
