How to do an emergency stop?

When I need to throw out the anchor I let the ABS PRO with linked brakes, variable pressure, multiple sensors and the computer do their stuff. Sounds a bit like passing the buck, but my R1250RT is a big old bird and I figure someone at BMW knows what they're doing and more about it than me. When I have had to hit the brakes hard the old beasties stops not just extremely quickly, but also very stably. I guess it works.
