DeeJ Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 So i'm looking at an imported bike which is 4 years old but never started as the key was lost. As its been sitting for all this time, what would need to be done before firing it up for the first time. Its a 125cc 4 Stroke Quote
Guest Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 Carb could need a strip down,,,could be gummed up.New petrol needed...check fuel lines to see if they have perished or split...check any fuel filters.battery most probably be US after all this time,Oil and filter may/will be no longer fit for purpose, keep you busy for a while.I would do these before i even thought about trying to start/turn the engine over. Yep £500, and same engine and running gear as CBR125. And cheapest half decent 2006 cbr125 is about £1500 Quote
