Carb cleaner

Recommended Posts

Hi all, ive got some spray carb cleaner but the instructions are limited to 'spray it in the air box', i knew that bit already!

Do i get the engine running and spray it in while its idling, turn the fuel off and use the cleaner as fuel to get it going or spray it in with the bike off and give it some time to do its thing?

Only just got the bike running again after leaving it to sit for 5 months (wont do that again!) so i dont want to faf it by using the spray wrong or take the carbs apart!

Cheers!

take the air filter out first as you'll soak it with carb cleaner otherwise, spray some to let it work its magic, start the bike then spray a little more, instructions should be on the tin..

and don't turn the fuel off. you need it for the engine to run,
