I've been riding for a couple of years and I'd like to get better/ safer at riding. Can anyone suggest the best route to becoming a better rider?

I am looking at either doing a half day with the guys who taught me (M&D in Guildford - good lads) but they don’t offer IAM or I've heard about volunteer type places where you can get help on safer riding from ex-bike police?

I live in North West London - near Hammersmith so it’s easy enough to get to the South West/ M25

Cheers

Bike safe would be my best bet for starters.

I dont know if your local area has any other initiatives, for example derbyshire has bikeplus as well as bikesafe.

IAM or ROSPA are both good long term bets.

For IAM have a look at MAM here http://www.middlesexam.org.uk/ I have met a few of them and they are top blokes, ride outs are usually from the Target Macdonalds on the M40.
