tyre warmers

i plan on doing a few track days this year on my road bike and to help preserve my road tyres for as long as possible e.g. as few heat cycle as pos i want a set of tyre warmers...

ive come accross these and wondered what you guys think?

Well... you asked what I thought and I told you

Basically not having done track days etc. etc. I'm not really in a position to comment on experience, but it seems to me that when you go out you take it easy for a lap or three and then let the tyres warm up before caning it. But I may stand corrected... and probably will!

yes thats right but then you come in and they cool down and then go back out and heat up, too many heat cycles kill your tyres or so ive been lead to believe so keeping your tyres up to temp prevents the cooling and lessens the effects of the heatcycles

moto gp tyre warmers are....sh!t

i use holroyd warmers (race tech written on them) and there spot on, much much cheaper than those and after sales service is really good.
