Adam Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 (edited) I have a Shoei XR-1000 it fits fine, but its a little tight around my cheeks. I want to get some smallers ones (cheek pads, not cheeks!! ), but everywhere i look online it tells me the size of the new ones but i dont know what size my ones are! I would get out my tape and measure them but my helmet is at my other house at the moment with my bike.. Does anyone have an idea of what size the standard ones are? (its a size L) Also why are new cheek pads so expensive £17.99 for a pair!!And I want to get a tinted visor but I've read that the ol' bill aren't too keen on them. Is it possible to get an insert that attaches to the pinlock system thats already on my visor? Thanks, ~adam Edited May 18, 2010 by Adam Quote
Adam Posted May 18, 2010 Author Posted May 18, 2010 Yes! can you recommend any good plastic surgeons?! I'll make it more clear.. Quote
Guest philgale Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 how old is your lid? if its new its spose to squash your face a little then after time it moulds to it and fits like a glove...smaller pads may fit now but after time your lid will be too big as they give way and shape themselves... Quote
Adam Posted May 18, 2010 Author Posted May 18, 2010 Its brand new, should I leave it a couple of weeks then? Quote
Guest philgale Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 Its brand new, should I leave it a couple of weeks then? yes....wear it for a month and it will fit perfectly, if you get smaller pads they will give to much and the lid will be too big...when its new, if you can chew gum with it on its to big... Aaron Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 Mine is size M (and i got a big head. No wonder it's snug) and i think the cheek pads were 34mm. I wanted smaller but the smallest is 32mm, so i bought a balaclava instead to keep my ears in place, and i intend to try to press my cheek pieces a little flatter under something heavy (i've done 2k miles in it).
