keith565 Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 now, i have just been out on my bike, got home, thought i would give it a spit and polish. don't ask me why but i ran my hand under the exhaust while it was running and felt it blowing.i looked under and have found a hole.it's about 2 inches from the join (weld), on the larger part of the exhaust (the part that has the baffles in). sorry, i don't know what else to call it.the hole is perfectly round, no signs of rust or other damage and is about 2mm in size.it appears to have been put there deliberately.any ideas guys. Guest Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 Some exhausts have like a drain hole, so water/unused petrol can escape. But, it shouldn't be blowing, thats an M.O.T fail. How i fixed my exhaust when i had a similar hole, is find a bolt thats just a TINY bit too big for the hole, screw it in so its air tight, then seal it with halfords exhaust putty. Oh, and a tip - cut the bolt down to the right length before you put it in. I had to saw mine down once it was already in, and so i couldn't get it nice and flat. Quote
