Iain - You know that I'll be home from offshore 3 weeks before you and that the weather is gonna be ace and that I'm gonna email you everyday to tell you how good the roads are and how much fun I'm having. Have to you see, as you've got 3 days extras fun at the UGP over me.I'm gonna be like a man possesed by the time I get there on friday night..... Some serious liquid to catch up.Right, back to the planning. God I love going away on the bikes..... Quote
Guest Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 PS - I'll be bug gered if I can crop a picture small enough to fit into this forum profile thing???? Any clues as to how I do it, or where I can get one them stupid looking cartoon things to suit me stupid looking mug....? TEGLWPS - I can't wait to get on the GIXXER, screw it's nutz off and then drink lots of the black stuff in Ireland. Not forgetting the racing of course...... Quote
R1 Iain Posted July 10, 2007 Author Posted July 10, 2007 I use Paint Shop Pro when I am home and at my work I use Microsoft Office Picture Manager...As for the Giff thing Well I have tried with my Funky Chicken but it does not work.... To be honest I like Angel's animated Giff... lol for obviouse reasons....Home 8th - 9th Aughust then the weekend for a blast or 6 then Ireland Yipee... Quote
Guest Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 LOLLike my picture??? Bol lox to this, I can't get it to go right so it can stay like that.....LOLWhy is nothing easy with these computer things.... Give me a bike anyday, a lot easier to fix.TEGLW Quote
R1 Iain Posted July 10, 2007 Author Posted July 10, 2007 Send me the picture soft lad and I will change it...lol Quote
R1 Iain Posted July 10, 2007 Author Posted July 10, 2007 I have beet talking to Slow Ken and everything is ready now for the Ulster GP.... we are still going wed to Sunday... Quote
Guest Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 LOLVery good avaiator Bud. Very appropriate for you. Infact, I'd say that's pritty much how I remember you at last years NW200..... Not gonna send you one as you'll either alter it and make it look really stupid, or give me grief for the whole weekend at the UGP.....I'll work it out eventually...... TEGLWPS - Good news about slow Ken actually communicating. At least he's worked out how to use his mobile these days..... Quote
Guest Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 You busy then Iain?? Haven't heard oot from you.I'd have thought you'd have given me some grief by now for my aviator..... It's a very old picture and as you know, I love her loads......LOLAnyway, before we go to UGP, I got an idea for us taking some photos on a really good corner I know. You up for it if the weathers good??? We should get some crackers with my camera and it'd be good to see who is closest to getting their knee doon..... Hear from you soonTEGLW Quote
R1 Iain Posted July 12, 2007 Author Posted July 12, 2007 Busy Yes. And the same goes to you…lolI have not noticed your Aviator till now … and yes its an old one …LOLTalk about Aviators what’s happened to Vicki’s one I noticed it’s disappeared…The old ones are usually the best.. I did say usually…. LolI will be home for about a week so I do not see any reason why not we could go for a blast But I do not do knee down stuff on the road I have to be honest. And you know that…I use my Foot..LolI still want to show take you on that road I found coming back the back roads from Inverness to Granton its looks well impressive… We could do something up there Full throttle 180+ easy and no junctions for miles.. But as you know I am up for anything and I will be up for almost anything …lolBecause we are B&B I am thinking of using just a little Back pack. Or tail bag. I do not like Tank bags as you know I used my one because I had too when I was going to Wooden Top country…I still think you should get a set of GP pipe pipes on your bike Trust me I know what I am talking about….LOLIt’s a shame that no one from this Forum is going to Ireland this year….Did I ever send you the flyers that I got from Vicki to distribute ….Talk laterSee you in the Chat room I am always about at night when I am watching my Top gear… I have season 1 to 9 and it’s a gas, watching all the stuff back in 2002 and well its just makes me laugh…As for Pictures V Jake has a big one and should capture a good one...lol Not !! Guest Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 Vikkis aviator looks mighty fine to me..... 8) Wander if she's as cute in real life....? Anyway, I'm up for trying this new road of your Bud. If it's got a good corner on it then we can try for some good photo's. The corner I was thinking of has shell grit and a massive verge so we could get right on the apex for taking some wicked photos. And Vikki - Iain's right, I have got a big one.... It's a Nikon SLR, very slick and extends outwards...... All these bikers on this forum and no ones going to the UGP? It is strange, but oh hum... I think I'll be taking me tank bag only Bud, can't be bothered with a back pack. My tank bag converts into back pack for carrying beer as well if I need it..... As for the GP pipes, not too sure about doing this mod as I haven't seen anything that looks smart enough or better than the standard can. The pipe slow Ken has on his Gixxer looks pants. So untill I find something as sexy as Vikkis aviator, then it'll stay as is.However, I did read a good article about power comander for smoothing out the power on me bike. Remember I told you that some times it feels a bit on/off? Still doing some research into that one at the mo.Right, better get going. Port call in Vitoria tomorrow for 5 days.....HIC. Very busy tho, you know what like.Shake it easyTEGLW Quote
R1 Iain Posted July 13, 2007 Author Posted July 13, 2007 You Jimmie Get 5 days along side.... I am getting 2 possibly in Den Helder… 20 mins in a cab to Amsterdam……I still think you are just Jalousie of slow Ken because he has a K6 with a Can… Personally I think it’s just a waste of time changing the can you have to get a full system or basically you are just posing…The main objective of the exhaust is power and noise… No one likes to go to bed with a condom on and that’s your K5… Fully protected… that poor little engine wants to explode and you are saying no LOLYes power commander will in all bike smooth things out for you but you need to do it right and you are talking about 150-200 pounds on a proper rolling road EG Stewart Young in Bonny rig down near Edinburgh. He has done a lot of bikes for people I know. My R1 is going down there maybe we could get them both booked in together… Unfortunately he is too professional and does not let you wait there so you have to collect the bikes when they are finished…It’s not like that Dyno Run you saw when my 12 was in Aberdeen he does a lot more and has to remove pipes and well do lots of stuff to remap the bike properly… You know its good when you drive off and your bike feels slow….LOL but it’s far quicker…And smoothes the power right out…. Well talk later…. I see V has changed the Aviator I prefer the Leather option….LOL Quote
Guest Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 Yep - 5 days, rumour is 7. Then 7 days transit to the next job. So it's looking like me Crew Change on the 25th is bug gered..... I agree with you about just sticking a can on, waste of time for performance wise. So I think I'll probably just go for the power commander and get it re-mapped etc. I'm sure there's a whole load of other stuff I could do to, but really ahppy with the bike as it is standard to tell the truth. As for Viks aviator, I like the kiss me arse one. I keep looking at it and getting meself all worked up...... Not long till cheap Brazil beer and Caperino's...... Enjoy Amsters Mate. Quote
