good places for an MOT in London?

I got my first scooter last year and just took it in for its MOT to motorden in Hackey east london. They came back with a long list of reasons for failing and a hefty bill for repairs. After doing my own research into MOTs i questioned them a bit further and they admitted half the things dont actually need doing. Now i'm wondering if the other half actually needs doing, so i'd like to take it somewhere else for a second opinion. What do you guys recommend?
