cylinder problem

i have a cr 250 1997 and the cylinder needs a rebore but its nickle lined so bought a 1985 cylinder head and that needs a rebore does any one no where i can get a rebore on the 1985 cylinder head and the piston kit any where near west yorkshire cheers

are you sure the barrels are compatable as in stroke etc and i thought the barrels since 82 were nickaseal?

its the cylinders after 1985 they where nikiesl plated the bike is a 1997 but i bought a complete 1985 cr 250 engine with cracked side casing and i removed the cylinder and head the sleve is a bit scraped so i think it would do some good to get a rebore but i never had one done before so i dont no where to go or what prices im looking at for the rebore and piston kit

both do cylinder grinding... and should be able to reseal..

Engineering garages are few and far. Guy near me does them but he only advertises through word of mouth. Ask your local garage mechanic for a trusted engineer near you. Its usually the same price as buying the barrel brand new.
