Hi All,

As a member and cofounder of MotoVirolo - Motorcycle Club & Tours in southern France and beyond, I would like to invite you to a wonderful motorcycle tour of the Provence and the Cevennes regions of southern France, the last week of September 2010.

NB: MotoVirolo is a not-for-profit French motorcycle club based in Paris and Cannes. This tour is a friendly ride out taking place on several days. It is not-for-profit but of course it has a cost (petrol, hotels, meals, etc.).

Provence and Cevennes Motorcycle Tour, from Sunday 26th September to Saturday 2nd October, 2010

Provence is a sunny region of southeastern France on the Mediterranean adjacent to Italy. The Cevennes are a range of mountains part of the Massif Central in south-central France. Curvy roads anyone?

That tour will give you the opportunity to ride through wonderful sceneries and roads on the Mediterranean coast as well as inland, visiting beautiful villages as well as the Verdon canyon, the Mont Ventoux, the Gorges du Tarn, the Millau Viaduct, the Gorges de l’Ardèche, the Corniche des Cévennes, the Alpilles mountains…

- Tour starts and ends in Grasse, the world’s perfume capital, a few miles away from glamorous Cannes. Nearest Auto/Train station: Nice.

- Tour duration: 6 nights, 6 days.

- Days riding: 6, with the option to rest on Day 3 of the tour. (But you don't want to miss the Gorges du Tarn and the Millau Viaduct, do you?)

- Overnight stays: Grasse, Sault, Florac (2 nights), Aix-en-Provence, Tourtour.

- Mileage per day: 180-210, depending on the itinerary for the day.

- Highlights: corner-packed mountain roads and breath-taking vistas between the French Riviera and the Massif Central.

Accommodation is planned in independent, reasonably-priced quality hotel-restaurants providing high quality service, authenticity and the discovery of local specialties.

Conditions for participation: a good spirit, a good riding equipment, and a naked bike or sport bike of character, with a preference for a European make and/or a model equipped with a V-twin, 3-cylinder or V4 engine.

Maximum number of riders: 10, to ensure conviviality.

Custom-made itineraries and English-speaking tour leader (me!) on fast and wanton Ducati Streetfighter.

Price: TBC. Count between €55 and €75 per night and per person on half-board accommodation and twin room basis.

Possibility to rent late model Ducati's at preferential rates from our partner Columbus International in Cannes.

Don't hesitate to PM me for more info.

I look forward to riding with you!

Hi Paul,

We are far from being booked up. Actually, we are close to cancelling the trip due to lack of participants. Seems like our 2009 season is reaching an end earlier than anticipated. Next scheduled trips are a Corsica/Sardinia tour at the end of June 2011, and a Dolomites tour at the end of August or in early September 2011. Stay tuned by joining us on facebook.com/group.php?gid=60010461878

Cheers,

Max
