Guest Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 (edited) Hi all, this happened a while back, but could never be arsed fixing it...I guess i give it a lot more throttle than the guy who fitted 'em!!http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n305/CobbZ_2006/IMG_0506.jpghttp://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n305/CobbZ_2006/IMG_0507.jpgAs you can see, its not like i have good access to the cable inside the grip. Any ideas? An idea i had was sticking a metal pin in each wire, then sticking the outer wire onto those pins and sealing... good idea? or no?Meh. Cheers for any help/ideas...EDIT: Sorry Dan, sorted the pics now Edited July 20, 2010 by Anonymous Quote
Guest Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 This happened to me too. You look like you will have more luck fixing though, mine was way further in.. had to replace mine..The pin idea has merit mate. Quote
Guest Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 if it were the other side, i consider the pin, but as its the throttle... how about searching Eb*y for a broken set to butcher.. Quote
Phill_vtr Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 Can't you remove it, push the wires through and solder them up doing away with the short broken bits altogether? Quote
