indicators

hi guys

just put aftermarket indicators on my yamaha xj,they were working fine,nice and bright but then the fronts kept going off from time to time,traced it to were the 3 black wires connect under the headlamp for the indicators,i connected all three with the aid of a block connector and now they work but are very very dim and you can hardly see them now,any ideas guys and girls???

i've tried that and now both flash at the same time (like hazard lights)

still very dim??

go back to your work, and solve one at a time sounds like you have your wires mixed up.. they should be colour coded so blue to blue etc, is the norm...

have you tried scotch bloc connectors they produce a better seal

What year is your yammy cos I could scan the wiring Diagram if you Dont have one ?

i recently fitted new ndicators to my thundercat and had the same problem individually wired in they were dim wired both up together they flashed like hazards :? much head banging and trying different solutions i decided to swap the wires over (they were both black) hey presto working normally and brightly no probs since then either 8-) :cheers:
