Clutch..ing at straws.

Well, basically I went for a really long ride yesterday. 130 mile round trip to Northallerton.

Then I got home and did a short little trip to a nearby town, turned the bike off and didn't get back to it for a couple of hours.

I then started the bike back up again, it was in neutral. Got all my gear on after it had warmed up, then got on the bike and put it in first ready to set off. The bike then started to move forwards even though I had the clutch held in !

It promptly stalled, as you would expect.

So.. What's happened ?!!

I'm hoping it's just the clutch cable having stretched a bit but the bite point isn't usually until when the clutch lever is fully out.

Could it be the clutch itself?

If you've got any ideas, I'd be very appreciative. :)

Just as a bit of background.. The bike hadn't been ridden for a year or so until about a fortnight ago.

Thanks,

Matt
