Help with my SRAD

My 1997 GSX-R SRAD 600 is playing up. Its started to run really rough and now tends to cut out at random times. I've ordered a service kit and ill see what that does, might give the carbs a clean out too.

One thing i did notice is when i remove the main fuel feed and the vacuum pipe, fuel still pisses out, not a trickle either. It has a fuel pump but i thought that the vacuum pipe still turned the fuel on.

Ive heard that there is a common fault with 'Carb Icing' but i thought this was only at low revs when its cold out and this does this when cruising on the m'way even.

Any tips or things to try would be helpful, and does carb cleaning spray work???
