Guest Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 Do you think it would be easier to remove the old well rusted in to position bolts that screw in to the cylinder head before attempting to fit the new downpipes, as its damn difficult trying to get the 4 pipes to line up and get them over the bolts (2 bolts * 4 heads) at the same time.i could screw in the bolts after the exhaust headers are in position before putting on the nuts and fastening. thing is those bolts are gonna be a bugger to get out - one broke away though when removing old exhaust so i know buggers will come out. eastanglianbiker Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 personally i would not try and remove the studs as they are very likely to sheer off instead of undo it is awkward to refit the exhaust over them but it will work Quote
Guest Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 if you do remove the studs, maybe refit with allen bolts , but remember to coppergrease the threads,. Quote
