Spark Plugs

I've got this 2nd hand Sukida SK 125-4 Commissioner (aka Inspector) (aka cheep rip-off Honda CG 125)

trying to get it to MOT standard

It had been lying about for 1 year+ with no running

many of the problems I seem to have cured

The now i'm working on the sparkies

Old NGK DR7EA

Old NHSP LD D8RTC.

Both these old spark plugs give a very very weak spark(can't even see it) and run quite Rich, on throttle pops alot and losses power at 3K+

Currant sparkplug is NGK D8EA, I read this is not a "resistor" plug (know idea what this does), but the engine is looking to be running quite nice(relativly), still a few pops and occassional loss of revs and white smoke in exhaust but I think these are minor hic-ups due to carbon on the piston and condensation from snowy morning.

My issue is if the Bike ran for 4 years on R-plugs, using this non-R is not fixing what the problem is, and might cause more problems?

Welcome to the forums...download the CG125 manual.

Google it

White smoke is a sign the piston rings/cylinder compression has had it I'm afraid. It should still run though, just means you have to keep adding oil. Have you checked your timing on the stator?
