So it started out as a visit to see my Mum in Fife.

A 75 mile trip, I left the house at 8.45am, which was done through very cold and thick fog.

Absolutely frozen, I stopped for a cigarette and stuck my gloves inside the fairing.

About 4pm my mate texts me as I am about to leave Fife to meet him in Callander.

meet at Callander, and there are a fair few bikes out and about as it is a lovely evening.

Some chips consumed, and it's off to the Green Welly.

Signs of road closures make us divert for home from Crianlarich.

At this point I give my mate a shot of the Blade, while I take his 98' R1.

we go ripping along the loch side, him way ahead.

I then catch up with him, and the grin on his face is clear.

"That thing is f**kin' awesome" was the only thing he could say.

It was then that I complained that he still hadn't got rkid of my (now narrowed) chicken strips, while informing him that I put some back on his.

Back on our own bikes we ripped along the rest of the loch, and have only just got home.

The cats aren't talking to me, but they will get over it.

Me, meanwhile, just resemble a Cheshire Cat. Great first real run of the year, and on my new bike.

330 mile trip all in.

I think I deserve a beer now.

Cheers Dan.

Raining here today Ruth, so a day of tidying the house and finish watching the WSB from last week looks more likely.

Where were you guys yesterday ?

We went to matlock and then up the via gellar or something like that to ashbourne I think, Dan knows better than me, I just followed!!

Did you get all tidied up today?

Our day resulted in me getting two new tyres fitted, wallet a little empty now!

Another good day for sunshine! You??

Nah was raining here.

Had cats at the vets, did my shopping, tidied the house, went to the cemetery, and cleaned the bike.

Sounds like you had a good day yesterday, and an expensive one today.

My mate jokes that I don't get new tyres or MOT's, I just get a new bike.
