How long did you have to wait for a MOD 2 test ?

Hi guys, I was just wondering how long most people waited for a MOD 2 test after passing there MOD 1, cos I passed on the 17th April and im still waiting for a test date ! Is this normal ?

I Was initially told it would be a 6 week wait but the school I was with call centres every day to take cancelations slots.

As a result I waited 2 weeks but cod have been one week.

I was also told as soon as April kicks in it gets mental! I started in jan when no one wants to be riding so there were fewer people learning. The competition for slots will be a LOT higher now :0(

I did Mod1 on 14th March, then Mod2 on 15th April. I did my CBT back in February and the two days DAS just before the Mod1. Has I known there would be such a gap, I would have done my DAS in November last year. My instructor said he was having also having problems with getting Mod1 test slots, because so many people were failing it.

I was told the same as Stu - summer months = everyone wants a bike licence.

i booked my mod 2 myself and was able to book it pretty much straight away (you have to wait a few days after passing to book mod 2 if memory serves), was about a 6 week wait for the next available date though and that was october/november.

I had my Mod 1 on the 6th March, was supposed to have my Mod 2 at the end of march but it was cancelled due to wind by the DSA... and I now have to wait until 4th May and that was Priority test.

Passed CBT in Feb, failed first mod1 in March, then passed second mod1 in March, then did Mod 2 beginning of April., First mod 1 was first week in March iirc, then 2nd one was about 3 weeks later, then i got a cancellation for me mod 2.

It helps there is only one company in the area who does the mod1 and mod2 training, and so when we need mod 2 tests they book a block and the examiner comes to the local test station specifically.

If you are trying to book it yourself online then it may well be that the local test centre only has an examiner there when the local school books them, rather than have one based there. Check other local test centres if this is the case.

Thanks for the replies guys, so it is normal then. The school im with is getting my test for me, as i paid for a guaranteed pass. They are phoning the DSA every day for cancellation's. Just have to keep waiting then
