Colin the Bear Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Is it a cable drive? if so has the cable snapped? Is it diconnected at the speedo end. You'll find the experts hang out in pitstop, but i'm not one Quote
eastanglianbiker Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 undo the cable at either the top or the bottom and pull the inner piece out see if is the full length of the outer with about an inch extra it is normally a round cable with flat section on the bottom and square on the top it could just not be located correctly at one end or snapped Quote
Fozzie Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 Or if its like my old RS50 its reading speed off a sensor near the gearbox. In which case it could easily be heavily corroded as that happened to mine and it wouldnt read properly after a while Check and get back to us what setup it is Quote
Guest Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 Hi people, i have fixed the speedo!! i took apart the front setup on the wheel, and opened up the sensor, then i replaced the resistor and put it back together, i started the bike and it worked thanks for your replies Quote
