Guest Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Yes and you should always check your tires when cold also before you go out for a blast Quote
JamieK Posted May 25, 2011 Author Posted May 25, 2011 just checked what it should be so pumped up to 2.5 bar then just been out on a ride got home and it was 2.75 bar it does change a lot with the heat! Quote
Colin the Bear Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Slightly higher cold pressure for winter riding. Slightly lower when it's baking hot Boyles Law isn't it? Quote
Decor58 Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Bex should be able to answer this one very well PV/T = constantIf the temperature goes up & volume stays same then the pressure goes up Anyway yeah, measure pressure when they're cold! Quote
Donnie Brasco Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Also what's written on your tyre is usually the Max psi pressure, best reffer to your user manual for the recommended pressure. Quote
GaryJM Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 I always tend to email the tire manufacturer for the recommded pressures as usually the manual are printed way before the bikes are produced. Most of the tyre manufactures whose tyres I've put on my bikes in the past are quite good and you get a reply fairly quickly.I've even had one txt me the correct pressures in the past. That was dunlop. Quote
