Just got a new varadero 125 but cant seem to get into 5th gear - any suggestions? Thanks

Bit of a vague question.

Is the rest of the box slick enough? Any strange noises. Brand new or new to you? Mileage.

Could be the clutch needs adjusting. Could be road speed / engine revs not suitable for gear selected.

Could you be a bit more expansive on the problem?

I'm not very technical, but it's a new bike 2011 with 60 miles on the clock. Seems to run well although when the engine is screaming I try to go up to 5th gear, but it won't change.

Different place, same answer. Return it to the dealer and let him sort it out

Could be all sorts of things, some simple , some serious.

If you mess about with it yourself you'll invalidate your warranty.

Take it back to the dealers.

And don't be screaming the engine with 60 miles on the clock.

Gently does it 8-)
