Unfortunately I failed my Mod 2 yesterday in Uxbridge. I'd like to say I was unlucky but really it was because I was half asleep after an early start and no caffeine!

I failed for turning right from the middle lane of 3 on the second of a double mini roundabout (http://www.streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?X=50 ... &A=Y&Z=115), The right turn lane was about 5 metres long and I hadn't been expecting it so I pulled into the middle one when exiting the first roundabout. Weirdest road layout I've ever seen and I checked all round for traffic to check it was safe to turn however the arrow on my lane was pointing forward not right so it was a serious error.

In my defence I had an early slot (9am) and got up at 5am to make it to the instructors on time, which is not a natural time for me to be up and about on a Saturday... Unfortunately there is no coffee machine at Uxbridge test centre!

Lessons learned are, if you end up in the wrong lane for the direction the examiner has given you, follow the lane's direction rather than the examiner's. You will fail for turning from the wrong lane but not fail for not going the way the examiner asked. Second lesson, if going for an early morning slot, remember to bring a Red Bull, the test centre may not have any caffeine available!

Unlucky fella. I didn't know there was a test centre in uxbrige. I was going to do mine there (whilst at uni) but couldn't find a school nor test centres to use!
