Hey guys and girls.

I've just decided upon a motorbike as i'm moving 20 miles away from my home and girlfriend for university. I can't afford a car and thought it might be a better option. looking at the insurance so far i already feel better haha. I have some questions about the CBT and was wondering if some of you could answer some questions.

I've never ridden a motorbike and am very worried about being really bad at it. Also do i need to do some lessons before i do my CBT and do i need my own bike by that time?. Also if i need my own bike first is there anything you guys can recommend to someone in my situation?

Kind Regards

NO you dont need any lessons, the cbt is not a test its just basic training I would just book one and see how you go.

They will start you off slow anyway, Id never ridden a geared bike before doing mine.

Do your CBT which will cost £90 - £100 then buy a 125. When you leave UNI or have the funds do your test and get a big bike

IF you have a gander thru the pitstop section, you will see no end of problems with chinese bikes.

My advice to you would be to go with a more established make, ie Honda or Yamaha, only my opinion, but the complaints about chinese bikes speak for themselves. (If Sym is not Chinese, i apologise, but we still see loads of complaints about them too)
