Bought these as i needed a new pair and they felt the best protection out of all the ones i tried, i had a pair of oxtar before these and the A* have much better support and protection so they were bought.

Good Points - Two boot design (inner boot and outer boot) to give better fit and protection, very good support as the inner boot has plastic moulding to hold your foot in place and then the outer boot with the huge heel finishes it off perfectly. Much prefer the ratchet strap fastening compared to velcro, just feels much more secure especially if you have big calfs and can only get a bit of velcro to touch, the ratchet strap is as strong on the first click as it is on the last. crashed in them a couple of times and everytime just got up and walked away, low sided and my foot was stuck under the bike for a little bit with no issue.

Bad Points - On the outer boot the instep of it is pretty cack, its very soft and my heel plate put a hole in my pair within a couple of months, A* did have very good service mind, sent them off and they sent me a brand new pair so that was good.

Overall - Would be tempted to get another pair no problem, just the above bad point that puts me off. Not everyone will have that problem but i did.
