yorbandit Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 The rule is there for a reason about rookies and should stand for the dwarf spaniard , he will not do it on the bigger bike same as the ped hopefully will spend his time haveing accidents on his own instead of knocking other peeps off there bikesThe daft part of the rule is that honda can only supply 4 bikes to the grid thats just stupid more bikes the better Quote
ManInASuitcase Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Predicted this would happen a while back.Honda carry a lot of clout,to much in my opinion. If they want a rule changing they usually get their way in the end. Quote
baggy Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Edwards has put on Twitter about this that he can see why Stoner has lost his passion for the sport when where you come from means more than talent. Quote
techno Posted June 20, 2012 Author Posted June 20, 2012 Marquez has got plenty of talent lol, the rookie rule should have never existed in the first place, however it was supposed to help the satalite teams, ezpeleta before thinking about abolishing the rule sought to see if there would be room for marquez there wouldn't be.Keeping the rule in this instance would actually hurt the satalite squads as mm is sponsored by repsol so lcr who have elf as long term sponsors would have to dump them and bradl who has a contract knowing its for one year only, similar gresini who have bautista is he supposed to piss off for a year while mm serves his rookie year..er no so it is pointless continuing it.Watch for the 4 bike rule to be abolished next, I can only assume it was brought in to aid crt bikes as a forced option.Oh and roy he doesn't really ride round knocking peeps off, he was punished for the one time he did at phillip island but that's a different topic.
