Guest Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Hi,I'm trying to identify my Grandfather's old motorbike. I have no idea what it is but my Grandmother seems to remember it being called a "Panther".If anyone knows what this bike is then I'd be really grateful.I've attached two photos which hopefully give good views of the bike. Thanks! davefly76 Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 possibly one of these..?http://www.yesterdays.nl/panther-1937-m ... p-448.htmlor this..http://www.feked.com/gallery/feked-moto ... ure&id=151 Quote
Bonniebird Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Believe it or not there is a Panther owners clubhttp://www.pantherownersclub.com/Panthe ... -4slw.htmlLooking at the interesting shaped exhaust, it looks like a 'red panther' - made in the thirties 250cc or 350cc four-strokes. See website.May be worth sending them the photos to see if they can positively identify it Quote
oslin06 Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 I am possibly wrong, but I thought they were a 600cc single and popular with side car owners at the time, I was not awair they made smaller ones?Keith Quote
Guest Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 The first 4 stroke I ever rode was a Red Panther stripped down to play motofootball. In the 60s they made a Villiers engined model, possibly a twin. Quote
