new chain for derbi terra adventure

Hi Guys

Wondered if you could help me m y 11 plate derbi terra adventures chain as got a kink in it and as rusted on every pin even though it as a good covering of oil i have been told to exchange for a did aftermarket chain but do not know what length it is or what pitch the chain is and do i have to change the sprocket allso the bike as done approximateley 2000 miles

any help greatfully received

ay up shaun,

you need either a 428HD-130 HD CHAIN or 428H(RJ) X 130, not to sure what the difference is , but both fit, i think 1 is a'gold', hm, if chain is worn, it will usually put more wear on the sprockets, and usually front sprockets will wear more rapidly asthey make more turns, so, take a look at the teeth on the sprockets, if any look at all hooked, then replace,,,,,

front sprocket is only about £4 anyway
