Surface of Mod1 test grounds

I understand that Mod 1 test grounds are made of a non slip special surface. Does anyone know what it's called?

It's just Tarmac with a high friction coefficient.

Not sure which method they use but if you are interested in high friction tarmac? then Google Shellgrip or Calcined Bauxite.
