just a thought mate , if your looking for a charity ???what about viking fms for the kids??

would get coverage on radio and lots of publicity ,might get you sponsors to aid with your costs etc ??

but would suggest having a plan (even if its only basic)before approaching them

just thinking out loud

put me down as a probable. I'm calculating my costs base to base as

10*20litres = 2k miles £180

B&B*5 £250

eats/drink £100

£530 say £550

if we have a support vehicle then we pay equal shares towards that. Costs of which will depend on what vehicle we take, my bike trailer is light enough to be towed by a mini. If in the end I can't make it my trailer would still be available FOC as long as it comes back in the condition it leaves.

I'll be struggling on them dates I'm doing a BMW off road riding school in Wales with (Get this n 'av a look at me! ) Simon Pavey.

Then as promised I'll be taking the family to Cadwell.

I'll have to av a butchers in my diary and see what I'm working and come up with a few dates!

i think thats a fair assessment of costs mate , weve been lucky and have a lwb transit as a support vehicle but still need to pay for the diesel , but this is where if you plan it you can "acquire" things with "good will" from sponsors

my philosophy is " if you dont ask !! you dont get!!"

I would be VERY interested in a 'tip to toe' or vice versa & already have a charity in mind, we sounded them out regarding doing something like this last year & they couldnt have been more enthusiastic.

This is what I had in mind

Happy to divvy up sponsorship & share it around more than one charity though

Oh & I was thinking of doing it in 1 hit... its only 800 & something miles
