Guest Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Heyy peoples.I know ive just finished my kymco bobber project, and its running beautifully. But got another project already Bought a honda xr 250 off a friend, for £100 well i wouldnt call it a bike just yet..this is how i bought it:http://i365.photobucket.com/albums/oo92/Badboyazza_2009/20140227_170012_zpsaf332d68.jpgHere is the frame, and then engine:http://i365.photobucket.com/albums/oo92/Badboyazza_2009/20140227_170017_zpsf0cbdcbf.jpghttp://i365.photobucket.com/albums/oo92/Badboyazza_2009/20140227_170023_zps92e5761e.jpgThe engine is only in pieces because it required a new kickstart shaft, as the one in it, snapped into two pieces.. But my friend stripped it to paint it all up and replace the shaft, and never bothered to build it back up..So it all runs, and ive got pretty much everything for the bike..http://i365.photobucket.com/albums/oo92/Badboyazza_2009/20140227_170028_zps501bffe0.jpghttp://i365.photobucket.com/albums/oo92/Badboyazza_2009/20140227_170034_zps5c8159ba.jpgFrom what i can see, looking through the parts. all it requires is a new chain, fairings and an exhaustGot alot of work to do here.. and taken over the dining room again.. god my misus is going mad at me, as she just bought the paint, thinking she can get the dining room sorted Quote

Guest Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 also sorry for the silly question. Is there anyway of wiring straight from the engine stator, to the ignition coil?just like motocross bikes, dont have wiring looms and ignition switches etc..no reg/rec's etc, just want the engine alternator to power the ignition coil..wiring really isnt my strong point.. repairing etc is fine, but wiring from scratch is not my tallent..
