Hi all,

have just bought a Kymco Stryker 125, starts ok but wont rev, sorting out air filter etc as its been butchered, but main concern is wee pip that exits to air at top of carb is leeking fuel out. Used to cb125's and sticking flota valves that leak at the bottom pipe, but what can cause this from the top pipe( 45 degree rubber pipe)

aiming to strip and clean it this weekend, but if anyone has any ideas why its not coming out the usual place let me know.

Also you can follow my resto at http://kymcostryker125.blogspot.co.uk/

any Kymco Stryker owners out there been here before with faults??

Hi Steven,

The only way fuel can be up that high is if the normal overflow pipe (the one out the bottom) is blocked. The fuel will then come out the next lowest point. Often directly down the intake or into the air box. Chances are that the float valve is the cause as well as a blocked overflow.

it was junked up again, had to really scrub it out, on/off 3 times in one night, only starts on 1/4 throttle, so have to go through the whole float height/ idle/ main jet set up this weekend, after i pass my MOT hopefully... wish me luck.
