YBR fuel injection problems?

Yes, I had a 2008 YBR, up unroll early last year when I got my Fazer600.

I ran it for miles and miles, but towards the end (before I sold it back to the guys I bought it off) I noticed every so often, the bike would just cut out and roll, and after stopping kick back into action.

Was really annoying but luckily didn't have to put up with it for long.

What exactly is happening to yours?

the engine warning light comes on and then it cuts out, wait for it to go off then start it back up again and boom no problem?

This happens to me occasionally (about once every week or two) on my YBR125. The engine cuts out for a few seconds and the light is flashing, then it fires up again on its own. I commute 70 miles a day on it.

Also, it never starts first time. I have to press the electric start button up to 6 times before it starts - the starter motor turns over, but when it doesn't start and I let go of the button, the engine warning light starts flashing? I can hear what I think is the fuel pump though. It always gets going, just never right away.

happened to me once on my YBR.

never happened again before i sold it, so never investigated.

might check the switch on the side stand though.

also the engine light flashes indicate the fault code - if you can find the manual, you can find the fault.

well i sprayed the fuel injectors and it hasn't happened since but i don't really think that as worked?
